The Blue Man!

Blue Man Group is an American performance art company founded in 1987. It is well-known for its stage works and incorporates a variety of popular and obscure music. During the production process, the performers are silent, always appearing in groups of three.

The Blue Man Group was developed by three close friends Chris Wink, Matt Goldman, and Phil Stanton in 1987. Its first public appearance was to celebrate the late 1980s. The trio wore blue masks and led a street parade. It included the burning of Rambo dolls and fragments of the Berlin Wall. Kurt Loder of MTV, who reported the event, drew attention to the weird blue man starting from the creative “riots” on the city streets.

A series of small performances culminated in a full performance of the 1991 theater version in Astor Place. In July 2017, Blue Man Group was acquired by Cirque du Soleil, which announced that it would expand this concept.
