“Flying over the sunset” returns at the Lincoln Center Theater. It was originally scheduled to begin previewing on the day Broadway was closed. And it will finally premiere at the Vivian Beaumont Theater on November 11.

Flying Over Sunset returns to previews at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre on November 11. And it will officially open on December 13. This work features a book and director by James Lapine (Sunday in the Park with George and Into the Woods), music Kitt (Next to Normal) by Tony Award winner Tom Kitt, lyrics by Tony nominee Michael Korie (Grey Gardens). Michelle Dorrance choreographed in her Broadway debut.

Cast and creative

Tony Award nominees Carmen Cusack, Harry Hadden-Paton, and Tony Yazbeck lead the new musical along with returning cast members Emily Pynenburg, Michele Ragusa, Robert Sella, Laura Shoop, and Atticus Ware. Nehal Joshi and Kanisha Marie Feliciano join the show, replacing Jeremy Kushnier and Erika Henningsen.

The set design of Flying Over Sunset will be performed by Tony Award winner Beowulf Boritt. The costume design will be performed by the three-time Tony Award Leslie James. The lighting design will be performed by the two-time Tony Award winner Bradley King, and the sound effects will be performed by the five-time Tony Award nominee Dan Moses served as Schlier.

Plot

Flying Over Sunset is inspired by creative types in real life: Aldous Huxley (author of Brave New World), Clare Booth Luce (politician and author of the drama “The Women”), and Cary Grant (movie star), they tried in the 1950s Up LSD. Many people participated in LSD before the drug was declared illegal.

The musical will explore the effects of drugs on those who take them. Flying Over Sunset brings these three characters together and examines their journey under the influence of drugs. At the crossroads of life, the three came together. Under the influence of drugs, they embarked on a journey to face the mysteries of life and the world.
