The Music Man who is about to perform on Broadway announces the cast on the first official day of the rehearsal. This work features Tony Award winners Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster as Harold Hill and Marian Paroo. It will begin at the Winter Garden Theatre on December 20th.

The opening night is scheduled for February 10, 2022. Other actors previously announced include Tony Award winner Schuler Hensley as Marcellus Washburn and Tony Award winner Jefferson Metz as Mayor Sinn. Further, Tony Award winner Jayne Hodyscher as Mrs. Sinn. Tony Award winner Mary Mullen played Mrs. Paru, Remi Oberjo Nois played Charlie Cowell, Gino Coscruela played Tommy Djilas and Emma Crow played Zaneeta Shinn.

Joining them are Benjamin Pajak as Winthrop, Keira Teruel as Amaryllis, Garrett Lang as Ethel Tofelmir, Rema Weber as Mrs. Squires, and Linda Mugston as Alma Hicks, Jessica Sheridan as Maud Dunlop, Tony nominee Philip Boykin as Olin Britt, Eddie Corbic As Jacey Squires, Daniel Torres as Ewart Dunlop, and Nicholas Ward as Oliver Hix.

Ensemble

Rounding out the ensemble are Nick Alvino, Jordan Beall, Ronnie S. Bowman Jr. and Maria Briggs, Audrey Cardwell, JT Church, Max Clayton, Kammie Crum, Aydin Eyikan, Carlee Flanagan, Ethen Green-Younger, Emily Hoder, Curtis Holland, Eloise Kropp, Ethan Lafazan, Kayla LaVine, Andrew Minard, Sean Montgomery, Tanner Quirk, Lance Roberts, Daniel Patrick Russell, Ann Sanders, Sherisse Springer, Mitchell Tobin, Kathy Voytko, Branch Woodman, and Ryan Worsing.

Production and creative

Jerry Zaks directs the new production of the classic Meredith Willson musical. It will also include the choreography by Warren Carlyle, the set and costumes by Santo Loquasto, and Scott Lehrer’s sound design. Brian MacDevitt will be in charge of lighting. David Chase’s vocal and dance arrangements, and Jonathan Tunick and Patrick Vaccariello’s music direction. Earlier this year, Kate Horton was appointed as executive producer after Scott Rudin resigned. Allegations of workplace abuse and intimidation came to light. So, Scott Rudin announced his intention to withdraw from the drama business. The remaining production team is Barry Diller and David Geffen.
