Live entertainment is making a comeback and on a large scale. In the next few days, many major artists will have tickets for upcoming performances and tours on sale.
This is the busiest batch of new events more than a year ago. Tickets are on sale. Bruno Mars, Garth Brooks, Andrea Bocelli, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton. Many more will host multiple events in 2021 and start selling in 2022.
Both Bruno Mars and Usher have dates for sale at their resident locations in Las Vegas. Usher has added dates to his existing Caesars Palace Colosseum and Mars’ existing runs. Mars’s run at the Park Theater is also in this way. Garth Brooks added a performance at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City in July. And one including Stapleton, Church, Bocelli, and Bryan, which included multiple dates and full runs of venues for consumers.
Many regions still need to maintain social distancing and reduce the capacity, for the time being. However, the list of tickets being sold clearly shows that event operators are increasingly confident in reopening live events. And their ability to perform safely.
Live Entertainment is Making a Comeback. And Broadway is returning, too! The three biggest performances in history return to the stage without hesitation. Hamilton, the Lion King, and Wicked all announced their return plans this week. They will open on the first day of production in New York this fall, as Broadway plans to resume operations.
Some of the shows for the grand Broadway reopening are planned to begin in August, but the bulk will make their post-pandemic debut in September. Tickets are already on sale, and I hope that we’ll finally our favorite musicals back on stage!
