Bruce Springsteen announced that he will bring back the “Springsteen on Broadway” limited summer performance. It will open at the St. James Theatre on June 26. “I like to perform. I’m very happy to be asked to repeat this show when Broadway reopens,” he said, who performed 236 sold-out shows during 2017.

Springsteen on Broadway

Springsteen on Broadway has moved forward the reopening schedule by more than a month. Pass Over has previously set a reopening scheduled for the preview in early August. According to SeatGeek, the ticket provider of Jujamcyn Theatres, tickets will go on sale later this week. And those who wish to attend will need to provide proof of COVID vaccination.

Tickets

The ticket page reads: “All guests need to be fully vaccinated and present proof of vaccination status to see the show. “The only exception is children under the age of 16, and they must be vaccinated by adults. Accompanied and must also provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test.” The initial run of the show saw record-breaking ticket prices in the secondary market, and Ticket Club’s analysis showed that the average paid price was $1,800. It was at the Walter Kerr Theatre in Jujamcyn, and this revival will be staged at the St. James Theatre. According to SeatGeek, Springsteen tickets on Broadway cost $75-850. The proceeds from Springsteen’s Broadway opening night at the St. James Theatre will be donated to a group of local charities in New York and New Jersey.

NYC is Recovering

In recent days, New York’s reopening plan seems to be rapidly accelerating. With the approach of warm weather, the United States is getting closer and closer to President Joe Biden’s proposal to provide adults with 70% of the Hope for COVID vaccination rates.

Pass Over has postponed the reopening date of Broadway from Labor Day weekend to August, and now Broadway’s Springsteen has fast-forwarded it for more than a month. According to reports, plans for a major concert in Central Park in August are also underway to celebrate the return of the New York cultural scene after more than a year of restrictions. Springsteen Broadway tickets will go on sale at noon on June 10, 2021. The current plan is 30 performances, from late June until Labor Day.
