WWE announced that SummerSlam will head to the Las Vegas Strip in August. The annual event will be held at the Allegiant Stadium on August 21st. This is the first time the card will be held at the NFL Stadium.
SummerSlam in Las Vegas
Nick Khan, WWE President, and Chief Revenue Officer said: “It is important for us to step out of the pandemic. And hold a large event like SummerSlam in Las Vegas. We hope to provide people with a wonderful night of sports entertainment. Also, we want to increase the flow of people to casinos and local businesses.” The event will be one of Allegiant’s first events. It opened as the home of the Las Vegas Raiders during the pandemic, but it has not yet fully opened up.
EDM star Illenium’s performance in July is currently expected to be the first of its kind. It will be followed by Garth Brooks’ re-scheduled stadium tour in early August. The Raiders have not yet played in front of a full audience. They are planning to play in the 2021 game. As are other members of the professional football world.
The Allegiant Stadium
“The Raiders are happy to join WWE to host SummerSlam at the Allegiant Stadium in August”. This said Marc Badain, President of Raiders. “WWE is a leader in global sports entertainment. It is very appropriate to host one of its iconic events in the world’s entertainment capital. The Raiders look forward to SummerSlam and the complete event at the Allegiant Stadium. Tickets for this event will go on sale on Friday, June 18. WWE also offers pre-sales-those who are interested can register to visit www.summerslam.com/presale. The event will be broadcast live on Peacock in the United States.
Due to the strict restrictions imposed by the pandemic on fan attendance, many high-profile events in Las Vegas are relocated in 2020. Texas is a beneficiary in more than one example. It is because the PBR World Finals and National Finals enclosures are heading east to the Lone Star State. This makes the number of fans since last summer much higher than most parts of the United States. But the city is now in a full reopening mode. And there is a great demand, as evidenced by the sales force of tickets for two performances of Cirque du Soleil, it is about to reopen. The city will also host what is expected to be the largest ticket trade show in history. Ticket Summit will return with ALSD in August.
Steve Hill, President, and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority said: “We are very excited to host SummerSlam for the first time and welcome WWE, its superstars, and WWE Universe to Las Vegas in August this year. Gas.” “Live entertainment and sporting events are returning to their destinations in large numbers, and SummerSlam is the perfect complement to the Las Vegas summer calendar.”
